When filming for Ch4's You Are What You Eat,
I worked exclusively with Dax to regain my general fitness, tone up and, of course, lose weight. Now, 9 months later I weigh over 140lbs less, and more importantly, my fitness is better than it's ever been in my life!

"Since hitting 40 I've been really active - running regularly - and even doing a marathon when I was 44 - this meant that I could eat
what I liked and kept my weight down. Having a really sweet tooth,
every time I had a coffee (about 8 cups a day), I also had biscuits
or chocolate to go with them!
It has only been over the last 18 months that my weight has started
to creep on - no matter how much exercise I did I could no longer
control my weight. Any attempts to try and lose weight lasted two
or three days before I would reward myself for doing an extra long
run or whatever.
I decided I needed to really look at my eating habits - I knew that
committing to exercise wouldn't be a problem - I also knew
committing to a healthy eating plan would be the hard bit for me.
This programme appealed to me because it didn't pull any punches -
you know it's going to be tough - it isn't like other diets where
you are allowed a piece or chocolate, the odd glass or wine as a
treat if you've been good - it's about having to mentally get
yourself in the right space to be able to accept the challenge and
be determined to go for it. The first week is tough but after you
see the results it becomes a lot easier. The big plus is that I'm
never hungry - I seem to be eating more than ever before!
after seven weeks I've
lost 19 lbs and have dropped two dress sizes - my waist is now
17cms smaller - I've never felt so fit and toned - I'm the weight
now that I was when I was 18 and have only got a few more pounds to
lose to reach my goal.
I would recommend this programme to anyone who wants to see results fast - having a clear structure of what to do and when really
helps.

The 90 days that have just passed were most interesting and enjoyable, and I'm very grateful to you for giving me the opportunity to try it, tho' my results were not nearly as good as they could have been. As I suspected would be the case, I just couldn't keep up with the increased amount of exercise in the latter stages (playing the age card here), but I'm still happy with the amount of progress I've made.
I've lost a total of 17.5 lbs and 7" from my waist, and tho' my tum is by no means anywhere near flat, at least it no longer comes to a point! I feel much livlier, my legs are a much better shape, and I can walk up (very long, very steep) Steep Hill in Lincoln to the castle without having to stop every 2 minutes thinking that I'm going to die. I can also, for the first time ever, do a sit-up.
Thanks to you I now have a set of enjoyable and very effective exercises at my disposat, and will continue to chisel away at the flab. I WILL wear the dress again (Mary Quant, size 9, bought in 1965 - cost a whole week's wages), and when I do I'll send you a pic. ( Who IS this strange old woman, and why is she sending me photos?)

"All my friends are commenting on how much better I look and I really feel more energised and much more confident - when I look at my before pictures I cant believe how much my body has changed. And I owe all this to you - yes I know that I committed to the exercise and the eating plan and that I did it - but you were the inspiration and the constant factor at the beginning when it was difficult to get going and remain committed. Unofficially I am at 183 and 9.6% (from a start of 189 at 19.7% ). I give the elimination diet much credit for this! I love the IMT and just did the Movement Matrix last night - Awesome! I'm doing the IMT 2x per day on top of my normal workouts (KB and bodyweight).

I am thrilled to let you know I will always continue to have these
Functional exercises, Stretch and Non-Yoga Yoga in my rotations. These
are literally some of the best exercises I have ever done. I love
multiple muscle workouts that get me on with my day faster and I love
to take the time to stretch. Not to mention your Non-Yoga Yoga workout,
even with only 6 exercises is a challenging workout for sure that
leaves me feeling so darn strong. Especially with the last exercises. I
am so glad I am getting better at not feeling spent after finishing the
last push up/cobra like exercise.
